The Secret Codes

The game revolves around hidden codes that consist of two elements:

Each player receives one color and one number at the start, which becomes their unique secret combination. Your goal is to discover every other player’s color-number combination while keeping yours hidden.

1. Distribute Codes: Each player secretly receives one colored lock tower and one numbered key tower. These two pieces form their secret combination.
2. Memorize Your Code: Players must remember their own code throughout the game—this is crucial for answering questions honestly.
3. Determine Starting Player: Choose who will ask the first question to begin the deduction process.

How to Play – The Question & Answer System

The Core Mechanic:

1. Ask a Question: On your turn, ask the player to your left: “Do you have [COLOR] or [NUMBER]?”
   • Example: “Do you have RED or the number 3?”
2. Receive an Answer:
   • If the asked player has either the color OR the number you mentioned, they must answer “YES”
   • If they have neither, they answer “NO”
   • The YES/NO answer must be honest—no lying allowed!
3. Next Player Determined:
   • If the answer is “YES”: The player who answered becomes the next person to ask a question
   • If the answer is “NO”: The question passes to the next player on the left, who must answer the same question
4. Continue the Round: Questions continue around the table with players gathering information through answers and observations.

Making an Accusation – The Elimination Mechanism

When you believe you’ve deduced an opponent’s complete code:

1. Declare Your Accusation: On your turn, instead of asking a question, state: “I believe [PLAYER NAME] has [COLOR] and [NUMBER].”
2. The Reveal:
   • If CORRECT: The accused player is eliminated from the game and reveals their code towers. You get another turn immediately!
   • If WRONG: YOU are eliminated from the game instead! The wrongly accused player gets the next turn and remains in the game.
3. Strategic Risk: Making accusations is high-risk, high-reward. Eliminate opponents to win, but one wrong guess eliminates you!

Winning the Game

The last player remaining after all others have been eliminated is the winner and has successfully protected the secret code of the Million Fortress!
